This is the most welcoming yarn shop in the area! And the staff is so helpful and patient with customer questions, too. I’d recommend them to both beginner and expert knitters/crocheters.

Super helpful, great selection of beautiful yarn and knitting accessories. I called looking for a particular knitting book and they put it aside until I could get there. I’ll definitely come back and spend more time and maybe sit and knit.
Common Thread is a “home away from home” for knitters and yarn crafters. It’s a great place to find ideas, supplies, and assistance. The staff is personable and very helpful and the inventory is fantastic. I love going in for social knit time and classes or just to shop.
I’m very thankful for the Common Thread. Doreen and all of her staff and instructors work hard to make it a delightful place. The yarns are always enticing and the accessories and button selection are great! For anyone who would like to begin knitting or learn some techniques to improve your skills I would suggest giving them a try. They are just nice people there with lovely products to choose from.
I love Common Thread. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and there's a variety of beautiful yarns. Their teachers are great, too. I've taken 2 classes this summer and now can do stranded color work and short rows. :)

It's like walking into a box of Crayola crayons. From a distance, the colors of the yarns are dazzling. When you get up close, there are a myriad of textures and subtle designs like tweeds, heathers, variegations. The star is owner Doreen. She is friendly, helpful and full of information.
