Common Grounds was amazing....until the new owners tried to make it a Starbucks knock off.
Do Lexington a favor and spend your money at a coffee shop that cares for their employees. Common Grounds is no longer Tucky-approved.
man this used to be the spot for me to share my new songs and connect with other musicians, students, and the faithful employees who'd always make my day better NO MATTER WHAT. Upon hearing that they were stealing paycheck money from their employees and then fired 5 of them without warning or reason, I won't be supporting this business any longer. sad but true. what really pisses me off is that customers who are there often enjoyed these 5 employees and never hardly see the owners there. they just sit back and fire hard work... read more
Newsflash, here's what the community thinks of how you conduct your business and treat your employees.
This move was dirty on all levels. Glad I started going to Patchen Pub for my Monday open mics. But aside from that: the damn menu hasn't been updated in forever. Try to order a cubano and see. Also, the new paint job sucks.
Amazing coffee, great employees, horrible owners/management. It's so disappointing how the employees are treated, and it's disgusting that 5 employees were fired for no legal reason. So sad I won't be buying from you all anymore.
