I will never stay at the Commodore again. We had an awful experience and the hotel is incredibly overpriced for what we got. The rooms were dirty and we didn’t receive room service for the entire time we were there. There was mold in the shower, garbage in the hallways, and trash in the stairwell that stayed there the entire weekend. The showers gave off a high pitch squeal when you did use them and the rooms didn’t have the hair dryers that we were told they did. Hi Cassie, Thank you for your comments. I myself picked up the trash and yes again the next day there was more. It is a times hard to keep up with throughout the night, but it is taken care of in the morning and again in the afternoon. As for problems with your room, had you came to us we would have happily corrected the items missed. Please try us again when it is slower like during the week.

My husband and I went for our anniversary weekend. It felt like I was living in a college dorm again. The pool bar was loud and the staff was rude. Every night we had a 3 am wake up from the drunks coming back. The walls were thin we could hear everything going on outside and in the neighboring rooms. We decided to leave a day early and were rudely informed that we wouldn’t get a refund. I didn’t even ask for one I just wanted to leave. I won’t stay here again.

Hi Terra, I am sorry your anniversary was not everything you expected it to be. Had we been aware of the noise we could have asked the other guests to quiet down or moved you to another location. I usually put a card and/ or flowers if I am notified about an anniversary. I apologize if the staff was rude, however, we do not do refunds on weekends as these are minimum night stays and check out time is 11 am. clean rooms friendly staff
the view was beautiful of the pool, and the price was very fair, but i called to ask about the pool bar and they said it ran until labor day, we were there the 3rd week in august and not only was it not running but the pool was absolutely frigid!! nobody stayed in it for more than 10 minutes at a time. I would not recommended/ stay there again unless the pool gets heated as it gets chilly by the lake even in august, otherwise you may as well stay at a hotel or b&b. My friend and I stayed here to celebrate her upcoming birthday and this was the best place ever! Customer Service was very attentative and helpful with all requests , locals informed us the ferry would shut down late saturday so if we wanted not to be stuck on the island until mon or tues we had better catch the first jet express back, we did and was refunded the sat nite we had prepaid, I Thank You so very much! our room was very comfortable and clean and very close to all the action downtown. ***BED BUGS**PICTURES INCLUDED*** This is the absolutely worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. The last day that we were there we found bed bugs in our room, we took it up with the manager and she claims that “we have never had this problem.” I decided to do some reading on reviews and come to find out that they have. To set the record straight: I never got messages that you called. Today I spoke to your father, not you. I never said you brought them I said you must have taken them all with you as we fond no traces and have had numerous guests stay there since without complaints. Also these are not our sheets.
