I got a vehicle stolen from me but I didn’t realize it because I was working 48 hours a week as a certified nurse aid in Ashland, Nebraska. The truck I lost was never recovered because I had unsuccessful attempts with CIP about adding my girlfriend and her dog to the Villas at Mahoney park lease -#*** I held with my father as a cosigner even though I made 54,000 in 2024. But also when I moved in my furniture all got stolen from outside the apartment while waiting for help moving. An I lost valuable stuff CIP evicted me in 20... read more

Northridge Heights - Lincoln I was a loyal and good tenant for many years, Never was there a complaint about me, Yet the first opportunity that CIP Due to a misunderstanding, They gave Gave me my 60 day notice. I realize the misunderstanding occurred afterwards and called and spoke to Kelsey the assistant property manager, and she assured me that it was just a misunderstanding and not to worry about it. 30 minutes later showed up telling me for the safety of the employees they’re asking me the tenant to vacate. I admitted my... read more

Moved into The Helen, Omaha, into an unclean apartment. Photos included in my Google review under Brandi. Then I had a package stolen and after talking to neighbors, this is common. Management's solution is to create a mail room in the next year that will remain unmonitored, providing access to the same folks in the building stealing packages. Then when I reached out to have the seal in my washing machine replaced due to visible mold that wouldn't scrub off, it took 4 days to get maintenance out to take a photo of the model ... read more

I lived at Highland View Apartments and had a lot of problems with the neighbors so I was very excited to move here. Highland wanted me to call them when the neighbors were making noise and that was all the time. They let the kids run up and down the hall at 6am. The parents and kids would just scream. Unfortunately the person that was supposed to live with me left and I could not afford this place by myself and I didn’t want to get in to something I could not afford. So I called and talked to them, they kept my $600 deposit... read more

On October 8, 2022 after almost 3 years renting at ****************** managed by (Commercial Investment Properties, Lincoln, NE) I received an email that stated I was in a building that had been designated non-smoking since the day we moved in November 22, 2019. CIP admitted a mistake was made in the original lease of November 22, 2019. That lease did allow smoking as did the renewal of the lease on November 10, 2020. On December 9, 2022 we renewed the lease. We had lived at *********** for 2 years so when my significant ot... read more

Karen ******* and CIP are unprofessional, dishonest, and predatory. As a huge property manager, they know they can screw you over because you don't have the resources to beat them in court, let alone if you have the resources to even start the court proceedings. I notified them of my move-out and thus of the lease termination, which they conveniently "didn't receive" (despite receiving everything else I sent) and thus, wouldn't need ANOTHER 30-day notice (60 days total) in an attempt to strong-arm me into paying an additiona... read more

The CIP property management company engages in predatory business practices. ******************************* in Bloomington, MN (a CIP property) charges $250 in application fees and $300 for a security deposit before you even sign a lease. Upon payment confirmation, they state the security deposit is refundable. However, what they fail to mention is if you don't sign a lease after applying they will not refund your security deposit or application fee. Bottom line, I would stay away from any properties owned by CIP. There ar... read more

I moved in on January of 2019 and lived at ** flats for two years. In those two years I was harassed by the management company. Upon move out I was charged unfairly. First, I was charged for a pet damage even though I paid a pet deposit. My dog is registered as an ESA however when I first got my dog I was not established with a new doctor in Lincoln, NE due to recently moving. I did not bring my pet to live with me until July or August of 2019. It did take me a few weeks to notify the front office because I was in the proces... read more

I see complaints but also the A+ rating from the BBB. I hope people realize that A+ means the company is reputable! I moved to Lincoln 9 years ago, and have lived in nothing but CIP communities the whole time. With complete honesty I can say I wouldn't live anywhere else. I've had to pay cleaning/carpet cleaning fees, but that's part of the whole. I've never had my deposit gouged. People are different, and nobody's perfect, but rent is no different than electricity. If you want it, you have to pay for it, right? CIP does wor... read more
