Coastal was far and away the most straightforward group we encountered choosing our caterer, and the experience only heightened once under contract. Joe and his staff walked us through a myriad of options with professionalism, honesty, and insight. Joe catered both our buffet rehearsal dinner at the beach house and buffet cocktail hour/seated wedding reception dinner at the clubhouse. Although only open for diner on Friday night, the Lakes CC has Coastal Catering in it's kitchen. The menu is short, 4-5 choices but all diners incluce salad, tea/coffee, and desert for $13-15. Usually a seafood choice, pasta, beef and or pork is offered and all are done very tastefully. Good service and a nice view of the Big Lake top off this wonderful experience.
Coastal Catering and Events catered our rehearsal dinner on Bald Head Island on May 8, 2009. Joe and his employees did a fantastic job with everything from start to finish--set up, presentation, break down. Not to mention the food was fantastic! We were unable to be there to assist in the setup, b/c we had to be at rehearsal, but we arrived to find everything perfect, in order, and ready to go! Thanks for a wonderful meal and evening!
Having a successful rehersal dinner is stressful enough, add that to having it on an island where the access is limited and planning it from 800 miles away. Joe and his staff at Coastal Catering did just that. We were married a few weeks ago and Coastal did all the food for the rehearsal dinner, wedding and breakfast the day after, as well as event coordination. The food was PHENOMENAL ! Joe did a great job and all our guests commented it was some of the best food they've had - including some culinary graduates. Joe and the crew at Coastal Catering catered both our wedding and rehearsal dinner this past May in Southport, NC. They did such a fabulous job. The food was absolutely awesome- people are still complimenting it -and great people to work with.Joe is a hilarious and a great chef. I would recommend them to anyone and use them again for any future event!
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience working with Joe Caldropoli and his crew for our wedding. We also used them for our rehearsal dinner, which was also a success. Guests raved about the shrimp and grits, the many seafood appetizers, and the meat selection. A sincere thanks for a wonderful evening!
We found Joe and his team relatively last minute and he came to the rescue in many ways. He worked closely with us, listening to our preferences and adding his own ideas to come up with a completely unique and eclectic menu. His staff arrived on-time and despite a whipping wind and rain storm, braved the elements to serve passed hors d'oeuvres to all our guests huddled under the tent.
