I’m giving one star due to a situation I had today at the office in Conway. Otherwise, I give the practice a 5-star rating. I’ve had excellent service and care with Dr. Shaw and staff until today. Dr. Shaw was moved to the Conway office. So I had to start going to that location. I have been there one other time, I think, besides today. I was under 20 minutes late. CCBH really saved me, I was really depressed, having horrible anxiety and no one else was bold enough to treat me, for my issues 😔... which made it worse mentally...NP: SS & her staff members, especially Heather really listened showed compassionate, patience etc... I rarely do reviews on anything since having my kids. So the first thing I have to say is , I've always had good experiences since my primary dr at a diff business left and didn't set me with a new one for my med management. Careteam got me in as quick as possible and I had Stephanie before she left. I ALWAYS have my kids with me, even if my husband comes with or sits in vehicle so I can go in alone. “I’ve had a great experience with Coastal Behavioral Health. Everyone there is kind, patient, and genuinely focused on helping people get better. They make you feel comfortable from the moment you walk in. I appreciate everything they’ve done for me and would absolutely recommend them.”
The staff and providers here are always friendly and caring, and I’ve had positive experiences with them. My concern is with the updated appointment policy. Typically, the standard of care when starting a new medication involves monthly follow-ups until stabilization (usually 2–3 visits), followed by check-ins every 3 months. This practice now requires monthly appointments, drug screens at every visit, and only provides a one-month supply of medication at a time.
