I want to be fair in this review because I have used them twice and might need to do so again for my pets. They are professional and do a good job. The problem is the high cost, and especially not always disclosing up front what costs will be prior to a procedure. Caveat Emptor! Specifically, our cat had a bite wound and it needed stitching, and the regular vet was unavailable (either it was a weekend or they were booked up, I forget). I am a new puppy owner and I had my puppy spayed this week. I was told everything had gone well but if any problems arose to contact the Coastal Care Vet Hospital in Bayer's lake. Two days after surgery puppy started having some diarrhea. I called the Coastal Care hospital emergency and was told by Heidi after she consulted with her team that the diarrhea was not a problem. On January 13, I was referred to Coastal by my primary veterinary clinic. My 8-month-old female Shih Tzu had ingested a chew stick that had become lodged in her esophagus. This was clearly visible on X-rays taken at the referring clinic the evening before and forwarded to Coastal ahead of my arrival.
