Charlie is my first dog and my first love. I did not know the dangers of taking my dog to the beach while on vacation in Nags Head. After a fun day of playing in the sand, he became very sick. He was impacted with sand and had to be hospitalized. Dr. Samson and staff took excellent care of our baby. This was a terrifying incident to take place while away from home. It may have come with a hefty price, but our Charlie is okay.
Our first experience with a veterinarian away from home. I must say they were very gentle with our Maggie Mae. They examined our little girl completely. I was very impressed with the service we received.
Thank you for seeing and treating our bloodhound Magic this morning. The service was great and Dr. Stephen Sampson was fantastic to work with!

One of our cats 'Ella' suffers from Stomatitis. We are part-time residents and haven't yet established with a veterinarian in the area. Her condition worsened rapidly during one of our stays, as she began frothing blood and infection from her mouth. I called them (only one I recalled quickly from seeing signs along the highway). They took us in within one hour and treated her with care and compassion, even follow up with us to see how Ella was doing! They treated our 20 yr. old cat for the past 4 yrs. Dr. Samson has been wonderful. She had several health issues and staff have been great. Dr. Samson had to send her to catnip heaven yesterday and he was kind, compassionate, and patient. We feel fortunate to have found this practice.
Dr. Sampson and Dr. Hicks brought a kitten who I rescued back to life, literally. I adopted Tuesday, and she is doing great to this day. Dr. Sampson also detected 2 serious health issues with my 13 year old Jack Russel Terrier. Both of his diagnosis' were correct without having the equipment that NC State used to get their positive diagnosis. Dr. Sampson and Dr. Hicks care greatly for animals and it shows.
