RecommendedWe were in Buxton on vacation when my beloved Rackery (My 11 year old chihuahua) gave up how fight with lymphoma. He made it to see his favorite place one last time. We called the emergency vet and Dr Christina Cook met us at the office. Rackery was struggling so hard to breath and Christina was amazing. During vacation you don’t expect to have to go to the vet, but Coastal Animal Hospital made the experience very easy. My dog had developed swimmer’s tail and we wanted to have her seen to verify that. Dr. Samson and staff were very kind and knowledgeable of this condition and were able to give our dog a steroid shot and pain medication until her tail gets back to normal. Not even 24 hours have gone by, and we already see her tail getting back to normal!
I found a kitten in my garage the day I was leaving for OBX. Delayed departure a day, and took him to the emergency vet at home. When I got to the beach, I felt the baby was too warm and called Coastal Animal Hospital. They told me they were booked all day, but to come on and they would work me in. Turns out everything was fine, but they checked him over, gave the kitten his tests, shots, and wormer. Thanks to the great folks there for getting us in and giving me some peace of mind.
Our lab Cody got sick while on family vacation. Dr. Samson and staff were great and got our Cody feeling better!!
