RecommendedWe rented a cabin and did the tube excursion. We had a group of 5 it was great! The drive to the cabins were a little steep but it was nice at the top. Cabins were clean but the beds were awful. Great place for a getaway!
We love going to Clements every year! It’s such a fun trip for a group. The staff are super friendly and the trip is always a blast- high or low water. Only less than positive feedback is that sometimes the staff sit back and don’t offer much help in bringing in the tubes - which in my opinion is part of why you pay higher prices to use Clements. But otherwise no complaints.
I am sad to report a negative experience with Clements Canoe on July 28th. I booked 16 tubes and 3 drink cooler tubes weeks in advance for a bachelorette party that I had planned. We are from Central Illinois, but we rented a round trip shuttle and came from Lafayette based on the website's time allowance of 3-5 hours for the float trip. Worse tube trip ever staff was rude. Practically hiked 5 miles on boulders with a kid. And way to expensive when 5 minutes down the road sugar creek is cheaper and the staff is nice there
this place was absolutely horrible. First of all I’ve never heard of paying 50 a canoe or kayak anywhere before. secondly, we got no warning how low the river was. constant bottoming out and carrying our canoe. we had a rather large group, roughly 9 canoes, everyone paid separately, some of us were on time, some 30 minutes late and some an hour late, either way we all got charged for being two hours even though not all of us were.
