0/10, still 2 years later, still have a bjnch of stuff not fixed the main thing is the siding 2 different colors, its wavy, tore, and missing in spots. Cracks in the ceiling from original transport. Holes in the kitchen linoleum where they were gonna put a vent and never did. Clayton said it was fine to have an open contract to have stuff finished, and said they were gonna fix it. Now they wont even stand behind it.

Going g on 2 years since my home was delivered and set. I continually find more and more VERY POOR craftsmanship in the building of my home. I am very displeased with what I have and will pay for for the nxt 30years of my life. Crooked window framing,cupboard doors falling off, base board covered up where a vent should be, door handles constantly coming off doors throughout the house. Worst experience in buying a manicured home. All answer are vague or not correct. Lots of details that were not disclosed. Contractor has sib contractors that manage him and not the otherwise. Excuses like truck was broke down for 3 weeks. ( find someone else. Your customer is first) Home is on property now over 6 weeks and we are being told another 6 weeks . Sold our original house with expectations of moving into new place by now. Spending more money a month than I make living in a short term motel and now another 6 weeks.... read more

From start to finish of the home being installed, the experience as a whole was disheartening. It took over 9 months to receive the keys to our new home. The manager at the location left mid sale. We thought we were purchasing a well built home, a forever home for our family. And now, only 7 years in, due to manufacturing defects of the plumbing system, we just had to pay close to 10k to have the house re-piped and all new insulation and flooring. Worst experience I have ever had.These people lie about everything.And then when you confront them they cover for one another.Once they have there money they no longer respond to your calls or keep you up to date.Think twice before you deal with these people

Zero stars if it would let me. Been in a brand new Clayton home for a year and has been a nightmare since day one. House is poorly built and constantly falling apart/finding issues even over a year in. Have dealt with warranty since day one about water leaks/seaps and black mold around fart fans and exterior walls. Found nails missing in roof shingles, shingles stretched to save money from factory, gum wrappers to fill the nail holes in the roof but they sent an “expert” out to look and said there was no issue and cleaned th... read more

I am so disappointed about buying my 2019 home from Clayton. When I first got my home I sliced my finger on the bathroom mirror.they didn't file them down. Lock are on backwards, my front door won't stay shut never been able to use my dead bolt. All door have to be adjusted constantly Cracks all over my house . I feel mushy uneven floors, plastic molding in my laundry room peels right off. Window won't open in my living room. All you get is a one year warranty. And it's down hill after that . I purchased a home from Clayton in Lancaster, SC and it was finished in July of 2021. Fast forward to July of 2023, I started developing some unexplained illness symptoms. After Primary Care Doctors, ENT's, Eye Doctors, Functional Medicine Practitioners, and Allergy Testing, it was determined I am highly sensitive and allergic to mold. Nice home but we’ve had lots of hassle. The lady that we dealt with in selling us the home did not seem to know all the ins and outs and had to ask for just about every question we had. Also the process took forever because my wife was on maternity leave and they wanted proof that she had a job by having her call corporate and them send in documents showing she still worked even though her boss verified she was on maternity leave.
