Good but not Great – It's pretty good Indian food, but it's not knock-your-socks-off eating. Healthy portions, but a little pricey for the quality you get.
Absolutely fantastic -- a rare gem! – Clay Oven is a rare combination of excellent food and gracious service. This is a very special restaurant for us--and we asked the wonderful owner, Praveen, to cater our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. (Our reception site made us use their caterer. Darn.) Unique Indian in OC – Hands down the best Indian food I've had in North America. The curries were incredibly tasty and the service was excellent. The best part was the host, who was extremely warm and friendly and very helpful in making our dinner choices. We'll definitely be back and I strongly recommend trying this place out!
Best Indian Food in OC! – Our family has been patronizing Clay Oven for the last 20 years. Praveen goes out of his way to provide the highest quality of indian food along with excellent table service. Clay Oven has catered many family events for us, too. Due to the impeccable food and great service, we will continue to use their catering services for years to come. Best Tandoori salmon. – I love the Tandoori salmon made by them but make sure that you order ahead of time to ensure availability.A must try.
Best Tandoori food in town – We love all their tandoori food. Their lamb kababs and chicken tikkas are awesome.The Goan fish curry is fabulous and is everyone's favorite in our family.
Catering Perfection – It peeves me to read such a crass review by anyone. Clay oven did the catering for my daughter?s wedding in July 2007. YUUUUCKY!!! – Talk about paying top price for bad food. The food was horrible and overpriced for what you got. I went there with two of my friends and ordered three entrees and an appetizer. The entrees are pretty small so we ended up ordering more and the bill came out to about a hundred dollars for three people. I only liked tandori chicken and that was pretty much it.
