At the Yelm site, I saw Corinne Bacher, OD, for an eye exam in April 2023. I stated that I wanted a new prescription for eye glasses. Without asking me, they dilated my eyes before taking measurements for glasses. Doing the dilation at that point in the exam probably saved them 5 minutes. When I complained, I was told that most people's eyes return to normal-enough function for fine-tuning the eye glass prescription. It took my eyes 6 hours to return to normal. My optometrist sent me to Clarus for investigation and management of my eye issues. I had high expectations going to a medical doctor, but the "comprehensive" exam showed the least detail of any eye exam I've ever had. You would think there was nothing wrong with my eyes looking at my chart, except the beginnings of cataracts were noted by this doctor who also performs cataract surgeries. I'm not sure the doctor did more than glance at my records, but that shouldn't matter with a fair exam and taking a history and actuall... read more

If you need contacts I don't suggest coming here. I called to order my contacts and they told me that the woman who takes the contact orders wasn’t there so I’d have to call back another day. Is it really that hard to write down a name and a brand of contacts? Then I went to pick up my contacts and they were closed before the rest of the practice was closed.
