service was painfully slow, the braised short ribs were served pot-roast style , the fried shrimp was un-edible, the server was upset when we mentioned the kids wanted their included ice cream, and the server didn't even ask if the adults wanted dessert.
Don't order pecan pork roast if you want a real meal. Order the 15 oz rib eye.

Great food, excellent service! Had the mango pecan crusted roast pork with mashed potatoes and green bean casserole! Yummy! I've never had anything bad here both at lunch or dinner! Their desserts are to die for!!! Very healthy portions - I always need a doggie bag!!
What a beautiful place to dine and enjoy friends and family. The atmosphere is quaint yet lovely. The food is delicious and priced well. The service is impeccable. I recently enjoyed my birthday dinner at this great restaurant with my mother, grandmother, and great aunt. We all had very enjoyable time.
My husband and I stayed last week on our way to Florida. Made a reservation a week before and was told the rooms were renovated and clean. The first room, the toilet didn't flush and looked dark and dated, so we had to change rooms. The second room had a large dead bug to greet us! The room was disgusting and looked like it wasn't cleaned. I complained to the staff and was told to speak to Kittie Collier. I called her 5 times and she has still not returned my call. We stopped here while traveling about a year ago. Decided to take my 80 year old mother here for her birthday dinner. We visited last night, everyone enjoyed it. The food was very good, service prompt and courteous, the gift shop has lots of pretty things to look at. The inn has an old world elegant feel, like days gone by. My mother and Aunt enjoyed it, both in their 80's, my daughter and my cousins son enjoyed it and they are in there 30's and my husband and I had a great time too. Don't miss this jewel in Santee.
