Just BAD! – It was my wife's b-day, I picked Soluna because it looked like a nice place and a great menu. I WAS WRONG! Our reservation was 7:15 and we waited till 8 for our reservation. We finally got seated and it took awhile to get our apitizers (which were very good). Dinner came around 10:30 while the store manager sat at a table next to us and had his entire meal with his friends and was done by that time. All the food was cold. Exceptionally Horrific Service – 11/22/05 My friend's birthday dinner and also we were running Nikes marathon the next morning. Reservation was at 8pm but did not get seated until 9pm. The food arrived at 10:30pm. Most of us ordered pasta to load up on carbs for the race. We had to send back our food TWICE. Solunas pasta was saltier than any pickle. A fine lunch stop near the Civic Center – I took a new coworker here to lunch and we were in and out quickly. The servers were friendly and polite and the lunch options (soups, salads, pasta) were well-portioned and affordable. Definitely one of the better lunch spots to hit around the Civic Center. If you go, try to arrive a few minutes before noon. After 12pm, the tables are usually pretty filled and there can be a short wait.
Wow! What a find! – Last night we were a an event for the Asian Art. It was getting late an we had yet to eat. We were pointed in the directions of Soluna Cafe. What a great little resturant. First off we were sat right away by the host who gave us the specials and got our drink order. The service was great we wanted for nothing the whole evening. FOOD – While visiting SF, we found this great little resturant. We were staying at the Hyatt. The Food was out of world and ten times better than the Hyatt.
Recently had a birthday party with 20... – And we all had a great time. Dean, the manager I worked with, was very helpful in arranging seating for our large group and the service was as quite good, considering the small staff and the size of our group. My expectations for the food were modest, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the good flavor and reasonable prices. Seared Ahi: YUMMY!!! – I've been to Soluna several times to hear music and dance. We always have a fabulous time. The "Feel Good" djs and the "Relevant Sound" djs are ridiculously good. I ate there for the first time last week. Supurb!!! The seared ahi was so delicious that we ordered it twice! It's to die for. The ciopinno was great too. Do not pass go...go straight to Soluna!
definitely recommended! – My boyfriend and I ate at Soluna this past Thursday and loved it . . . the ambience and service was excellent, the food was devine, and the prices reasonable. I had the Chanterelle Mushroom Pasta and he had the Sea Bass - yum! We're looking forward to our next visit.
Soluna ROCKS – Great place, sexy interior. Good music and a fun selection of drinks. Whether you just want to quench your thirst or eat and drink, this is THE destination. And Dean is a dj to appreciate (sexy smile at that!). So stop on by, gay/straight/boy/girl--you'll all have a good time.
