Perfect Before or After Theatre – What a find! Just off Hyde and the theatre district, Soluna looked new. It was comfortable, spotless, great service and food. We were held up by an accident on the bridge; they told us not to worry when we called, held our table, then made sure we made it well before curtain time. They rushed, we didn't. Great Atmosphere Great Location – This is a welcomed chage that. The place evolves over the course of the day. Check it out as a coffee shop in the morning, lunch place or club scene. You pick. It's all good.
Pleasant Surprise – We went to show at Orpheum last night and made an OpenTable reservation here since the menu looked interesting and the location was spot on. What a pleasant surprise. Atmosphere was fun and the food was outstanding. I had the Watercress Salad and the Duck Breast in a wonderful caramelized sauce as a part of the Prix Fixe menu. great food great service great party – I had been going to soluna for a while for the night club but one day on my way to work i decided to grab lunch there. Boy was i surprised, the sandwich that i had with the salad a fries was the best ever. The next time i went, i had dinner and me and my brother faught over each others food it was so good. Great Ambience but food was bad – I was there last night with my boyfriend and another couple. I had asked for a booth setting and they had they ready for us after waiting 15 minutes. Great Food, Friendly Service, Cool Ambiance – 8 of us dined at Soluna for a friend's birthday on a busy Sat. night. We were sat about 1/2 hour later than our reservation called for, but the staff made it OK by provided complimentary drinks for us in the bar. Just BAD! – It was my wife's b-day, I picked Soluna because it looked like a nice place and a great menu. I WAS WRONG! Our reservation was 7:15 and we waited till 8 for our reservation. We finally got seated and it took awhile to get our apitizers (which were very good). Dinner came around 10:30 while the store manager sat at a table next to us and had his entire meal with his friends and was done by that time. All the food was cold. Exceptionally Horrific Service – 11/22/05 My friend's birthday dinner and also we were running Nikes marathon the next morning. Reservation was at 8pm but did not get seated until 9pm. The food arrived at 10:30pm. Most of us ordered pasta to load up on carbs for the race. We had to send back our food TWICE. Solunas pasta was saltier than any pickle. A fine lunch stop near the Civic Center – I took a new coworker here to lunch and we were in and out quickly. The servers were friendly and polite and the lunch options (soups, salads, pasta) were well-portioned and affordable. Definitely one of the better lunch spots to hit around the Civic Center. If you go, try to arrive a few minutes before noon. After 12pm, the tables are usually pretty filled and there can be a short wait.
