It is important, I feel, for your vet to help you understand important factors in making end of life decisions for your animal. What costs will family incur for treatment? Great Animal Hospital & Wonderful Doctor and Staff!! I have been taking my animals to City Pets for years.City Pets is a great animal hospital! The moment you walk in the staff greet you everyone there is so nice. You never have to wait long. Dr.Shook is very nice and great with your animals She is always so pleasant. There new location on Charles St is beautiful and very clean! There prices are very reasonable. I would definitely recommend City Pets to anyone!!
Great place and super care!! ok, i want the best for my "kid". that's it. everyone seems to think that this place is somehow too expensive. sure, there are plenty of cheaper vets in the city. but look at it this way: would i take my child to the cheapest doc? no. i would try to find the best pediatrician there is. it is as simple as that. so, this vet is what i want for my "kid". she is very good, the facility is modern and clean and the price is irrelevant. I want my four legged beast to be healthy. end of story.
Above and Beyond We recently adopted a cat or should I say the cat adopted us. Samantha ( or Toonsis) as my husband calls her, showed up in our back patio. She was homeless but always showed up when I was in the back yard gardening. Samantha would try and get in my lap purring the whole time. Very nice The veterinarian and her assistants were so nice, spent lots of time answering my questions and were really helpful. I would certainly recommend this hospital to folks looking for a convenient location in the city. They make you and your puppy feel very well cared for
Wonderful! Great Experience! CityPets is one of a kind! Dr. Shook and her staff are compassionate, outgoing, and respectful. Dr. Shook's diagnosing and treatment is right on and each animal is treated as if it were her own. When you walk into CityPets you feel at ease; you know your pet is in good hands. The receptionist is caring and willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have, and there is always hot coffee and treats!! I highly recommend CityPets!
Excellent Care I have been bringing my dog here for 5 1/2 years and I absolutely love it there. When they switched named and our regular vet left (to continue an around the world voyage) I was hesitant but was soon convinced that they are still the right place for us. When my dog had gland problems we were in there almost every week and they brought in a specialist to do the removal surgery. Yes, Dr. Shook is very nice, however, I felt very rushed from the moment she set eyes on the recently rescued stray cat I had acquired last month who was pregnant. She just had 8 kittens 2 weeks ago! I came in as the cat had ear mites that were treated by Falls Road Animal Hospital the day after I got the cat (could not get an appt anywhere for a few days and wanted to get her rabies, earmites, etc. immediately). Good quality vet convenient location in the city We had reservations about a vet in the city as new residents but we are very happy with Dr. Jill Shook at CityPets. She is compassionate and knowledgeable when caring for our dog, a labrador retriever. Ask about costs upfront as the bills can be a surprise sometimes at the end of the visit and they will sometimes try to sell you on high priced vitamin supplements but in a nice way and they will accept no as an answer.
