Black Woman the medical system is as dangerous as the police department is to a Black Man. As soon as I entered this office I was rage baited with micro aggression from the front desk assistant. Then the nurse identified me as PATIENT instead of my name Tanya Williams, and lastly the doctor entered without announcing himself. I visited CityMD in Flushing because I wasn’t feeling well, and I had such a great experience. The girls at the front desk were incredibly nice and helpful from the moment I walked in. Everything was organized and efficient. The scribe was thorough and fast, making sure nothing was missed. The doctor took time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel reassured and cared for. It’s not always easy going to urgent care when you’re sick, but the team here made the whole visit smooth and comforting. Highly recommend!
Went here to get two different kinds of bloodwork done. One in regards to my liver (yellowing in my eyes reappeared) as I am unable to go to my PCP until a few more weeks and the other a simple blood test to check for diseases/confirmation of vaccines for school. Before I could even say the second thing I was told to go to my PCP and have them check for my blood test that way.
