This about LA fitness **** ** *****Niles IL, Operation Manager Michael S***** very rude, disrespectful to his club members, I don't deserve to treated like this, he is swearing (use word start with “ F”), embarassment me in the front of others. BUYER BEWARE. As a professional, I know that customer service is the number one important element when running a business. Unfortunately, this company has been a nightmare. Do not join this gym or use any of the services particularly the personal training. I read many reviews on this organization and found many of the experiences felt by others are similar to my own. LA Fitness - Henrietta, NY. We have a silver sneakers membership, but signed up for a 1 year membership that included a trainer. At that time we were reassured they do not auto renew memberships. Prior to expiration we again confirmed with the manager that we did not have to complete a form to terminate at the end of the contract since they do not auto renew. Guess what - our account was hit for the monthly fee anyway! Now we are in a waiting queue for resolution. Very disappointing since the trainer and facility were great.

My husband and I have been members for well over 10 years. We've become unhappy with our local facility and decided to cancel in March 2020. LA Fitness started deducting the $35.00 monthly fee from our account again recently PLUS and addition $22.50 for I don't know what. Attempts to contact have been unsuccessful. When I call Corporate Head Quarters in Irvine, CA, I get a recording and then it hangs up. There's no opportunity to speak to someone OR leave a message. This company in horrible. Do not sign up for personal training!!! They give you 30 days to use all sessions left or you must pay again for each month. There is no consideration for someone that had changes in their life. I was a member for more than 3 years. Now they want to keep $800 of charges and said too bad for me.

I called corporate, first on Aug. 10, and spoke with Juan, a supervisor, about refunding the balance of my trainer membership. I was assured that, in lieu of the current situation, my credit card would be refunded the pro-rated balance - he also checked and confirmed my records of what was left on my contract and said I would be credited within 5-7 business days. Am a member of the LA Fitness located in Jacksonville, Florida (University Blvd W, Jacksonville, FL). Have been a member for 3 years now, when i signed up they were easily able to add my credit card information and get me signed up and to work out the same day. But when it was time to cancel they are making me jump through 10 different hoops in order to get it cancelled. SCAM SCAM SCAM!! I have a letter confirming the cancellation of my membership and they will not stop billing my account! They charged me annual fees on a 6 month contract then when I questioned how you could charge an annual fee if we do not have an annual contract I was told that I was actually i was not in a contract that LA Fitness doesn't offer contracts?? LA Fitness will not cancel your membership ever. Do not sign their form!! I have made monthly telephone, written (Round Rock and California) and in person contact due to my being a Covid19 high-risk medically compromised individual. My contacts have been civil and made in multiple forms all in accordance with their contract -- every month since May. They are still charging my credit card every month. Once again they charged me in late August, which I have now disputed with my Credit Card company.
