Not Recommended – Headed to City Lobster last night with much anticipation for a wonderful dining experience. My wife ordered the Australian Lobster Tail directly from the menu...the waitor told us "we don't have any"....this is on a Friday, early evening, in the theater district. its T.G.I.FRIDAY'S - just more expensive and with lobster – this place is T.G.I.Friday's with lobster and higher prices! Service is horrible - they don't know the menu, cast aside responsibility, and leave you waiting. Great lobster and service – We've done the pre fixe and a la carte. Both delightful. Lobster fresh and perfectly prepared. Our server was delightful!
Real Bad... Real Big Disappointment. – Real bad... real big disappointment. We waited forever for our food and when it arrived it was sub-par. Save your money and go to a real seafood resturaunt for lunch. Good food, good value, good service – Our welcome was excellent. Pleasant and efficient Maitre D' had us seated immediately honoring our reservation. Martinis were excellent. Our waiter, Shaun,was quite pleasant and efficient. Restaurant Week menu was in effect; the spinach salad and its dressing was excellent as was the bread in the bread basket. BEST BRUNCH I'VE HAD IN A REALLY LONG TIME! – City Lobster is a hidden gem near Rockefeller. I went there for Brunch for the first time last weekend and was extremely impressed!! The staff was really knowledgeable and the food was amazing. They started us with a basket of olive bread, a free bloody mary!!, our own canteens of coffee, and our meal came in the perfect amount of time. The huevos rancheros with shrimp was the best i've ever had!! I would definitely recommend!

Worst meal in all of NYC – Horrible food! I dine out 6 nights a week in NYC and this is the 1st time I have participated in restaurant week. I was surprised to read some of the glowing reviews for this place when my experience was so bad. The shrimp cocktail was very poor quality and the lobster was awful - the clams and mussels were so dry so I didn't eat them. Even the little pc. of corn on the cob was overcooked and dry.
