I've meant to stop in for the last two years. Finally made it. The subtropical selection is pretty good, with a few oddballs and rarer fruit like Allspice, Litchi, etc. The deciduous stuff is also appropriate for the area (i.e. low chill) as well as for homes such as dwarf varieties. The stock is actually pretty big for the price and has most of the low chill varieties of fruit and nut species represented. It would be very easy to build up a low chill fruit collection fast. My husband and I absolutely adore City Farmers for so many reasons. The products they carry are the best in San Diego. Everything from seeds, plants, pottery, equipment, fertilizers, tools etc. They've got it all. If we can get there in time to take some of their delicious eggs home... its always an extra treat! Farmer Bill is so knowledgeable about anything and everything ag and homestead related. We can go in with questions and photos and there are always answers.
