This place is for the people that love a home cooked meal with out the hassle of cleaning pots and pans. � BONUS: the place is set up cafeteria style. Genius idea of i must say so myself. You better come hungry. George fixes some of the best combinations of delicious proteins an a wide variety of sides. considering myself from here on out a REPEAT CUSTOMER. If you don’t leave full get you another plate.

Great food, great service and great atmosphere
The chicken tortilla soup is better than advertised. Insanely good. I also recommend the roast beef chili. The bbq pulled chicken and cornbread were heavenly, sweet tea was strong and sweet, and the mashed potatoes and banana pudding were very good (esp since I got the last servings of both). Unreal spot.
The customer service, cleanliness, and lunch was absolutely excellent! Let them know that it is your first time there and experience "the magic"! They really work to make everyone feel right at home. The customers also behave "like family". People speak to one another and I found that many of them do not live here. They just know the place. Stay Excellent City Cafe East!
The food is delicious! The best meat and two in Nashville. I am making my rounds to try everything (greedy).. Lol. The owner is nice and friendly and it's a great atmosphere.
