First time to Citizens Burger Bar. We heard it was rated the best burger in Charlottesville and I would not argue with that. It was a bit messy (had to eat with a fork), but delicious. Also excellent fries, good beer menu, great atmosphere. Service was good. I would definitely return here!
My wife and I were in cville for our honeymoon. We stopped here before we hit the road home. The disappointing experience here lessened the blow of our honeymoon ending. Her burger which she ordered as "no pink" was clearly pink. Both of our burgers we're poorly constructed and had little to no flavor. The waiters service was minimal at best. If you are in cville main St and want a good burger, go to fitzroys. In short worth neither the calories nor the price.
Wow! Delicious burgers and fries!! Our daughter recently moved to the area for work. We met her there for dinner yesterday. She raved about how good the burgers were. She was right! Friendly and attentive waitress who kept our water carafes full without even asking. I had the turkey burger and it was awesome! The hand cut sweet potato fries are amazing too! My husband said they were the best fries he’s had. We’ll definitely make this our meeting place when we are visiting our daughter. 👍🏽👍🏽🍔🍟

A long wait, but worth it. Very efficient waitress, food arrived in a timely fashion and was delicious. Seems like a great place for families!

We were in for lunch and really enjoyed our burger. There was a nice selection of beer and ciders. Service was great.
My favorite bar in Charlottesville, period. I love the atmosphere. Beer selection is excellent. Draft rotation superb. They stock all the right liquor choices. Burgers are the best in town. Locally raised, grass-fed beef. But beyond that, what keeps me coming back are the bartenders... all friendly, easy going, knowledgeable, and on point with recommendations and service.
