good food, better service! This is such a cute little Italian restaurant. I lvoe all of the great people who work there. Even the valet is incredibly friendly. The staff know their food and the food is good.
First-Class As soon as you walk in this restaurant you are quickly awe struck by the stunning decor with three-story ceilings. The food is excellent, and the service is wonderful and very attentive. The price is accordingly, so bring your wallet!
Not fun. Cicada club which was once a novelty is now stale and boring, "impresario" Maxwell Demille isn't enough of an "impresario' to get in new acts, and the one he has are only mediocre, not worth the drive downtown.
Cicada Restaurant is great, but been to better. I liked it a lot... great atomosphere and a great place to take a date. While I agree with some of the other reviewers, I think that Cicada does offer everyone who goes a great time, and i'd love to rent out the place for my own party (if i had an occasion to!) haha.
Not what its cracked up to be. Cicada club was pretty disappointing. I went expecting something out of the Golden Era, but really it is just the restaurant hiring a vintage band and having a coat check girl and doorman, cute, but nowhere near what I would expect a vintage nightclub to resemble, only half of the patrons actually wear vintage clothing. Great place! This place is fantastic if you've got a special occassion. You might recognize it from Pretty Woman. Apart from that, it's got great ambiance and fantastic food; much, much better than more sceney places that have similar prices. Go!
Upscale Service and Exquisite Cuisine I've had the pleasure of dining at Cicada for many years. I've also attended private gatherings there and have always been pleasantly catered to from the upscale service with immaculate beauty to the exquisite cuisine that is served. Always recommended.
RecommendedIt's a beautiful restaurant but why they hide the gorgeous art deco murals of Nic Valle behind ugly drapes is beyond comprehension. Get rid of those dusty drapes.
