I think this company has excellent customer service people who put a friendly face on a racketeering business—a business that discriminates based on a socio-economic caste system and which requires insured persons to have an agent. All agents are franchised businesses which profit off of customers’ premiums, so it is a negatively reinforced system on all levels. State farms 1800 customer service line operators are the most rude, disrespectful people I have dealt with this year. Stay away from this company at all costs unless your suing them.
After State Farm tried to back charge me months for a error in quoting by one of their represnetatives, I informed them it would be tooo high for me and notified them that i would not be renewing my policy. In return, they went into my bank account and took the money they wanted for their mistake almost $500!! They vclaimed they would refund my money and sent me a check for a little over $100! We were unable to resolve this matter by phone. A response letter was mailed to the consumer.
State Farm has been the worst to work with on a claim. Have been in a 2 year battle with them for storm damage that caused water damage internally. My paperwork states " internal damage caused from external roof damage. External damage is not significant enough to cause internal damage " I'm not sure if they even know what they mean by that. If you are thinking about switching or using State Farm for your insurance agency, look elsewhere unless you like having your money taken from you every month only to have 0 coverage.

State Farm's claim adjusters and claim handlers are trash. Horrible customer services and poor communication! After thr adjuster came out and made his report, it was horrible trying to reach them. A "manager" supposedly called me back after so many times of trying to reach someone about my claim! This "manager" was rude, yelled at me and my contractor. Bad company. Raised my rates by $100 a month from Dec to Jan when I had no claims. When I asked why they apologized and said its because of the region of the country I am in ..... Had hail damage that caused $7000+ damage and they are trying to say that even though it did that much damage to my truck the windshield was from a rock chip?? I sat in the truck pulled over on the side of the road during the hailstorm and watched my window crack. One star is to much.
SF insured caused a wreck which I was involved in. I was at ZERO fault. SF refuses to cover OEM parts for a Porsche that is certified. If non-OEM parts are put on a certified vehicle, it voids the certification. Also repairs are being made by a Porsche certified repair shop. Porsche does not allow them to put non-approved parts on a Porsche. I refuse to pay the $1720.98 difference because I was not at fault AND SF has to put my car back to pre accident condition which includes its certification.
Had a total loss accident that was a state farm drivers fault. Ran a blind red light and we t boned her at 35. State farm agreed to a settlement and said we have the rental for 5 more days. I call on day 4 no tracking and on day 5 I call they said it's in the pile and will go out in 5-7 business days. Scummy company trying to hose me because the title was out of state to where I currently live. People buy cars in others states all the time losers that doesn't mean you get to leave them without a car for a week and a half. Ne... read more

I have been with State Farm for many years and have had no issues with claims handling over the years until recently when a claim was reopened and should have been quite straight forward. The following are the recent issues: significant delay in processing the claim and assigning the claim, lack of communication from claims team, communication of inaccurate information, lack of due diligence, lack of integrity in the process and the personnel involved.
