23 years ago when I was 18, I had my first root canal by Dr. Peeler. 5 years ago it started giving me major trouble so I had to go to an endodontist and have a re-treatment. Imagine my surprise and dismay when they removed actual FILES from the root of my tooth that Dr Peeler had left in. The roots of the tooth began to break down so I had to have another DR do surgery down on the root of the tooth to repair it. Now, the crown that Dr Peeler put on has broken in 2 places this week. Dr. Peeler is great. I have not had a bad experience with him. However, I have had mixed experiences with the rest of the staff. Lately, it seems his hygienists are always trying to sell me additional services and don't always take no easily. They also have a lot of new, and seemingly excessive equipment. Really, your staff needs to have radios to communicate in a 500 sq ft. office? It has lost much of the personal touch that used to be there.
I'm concerned that Dr. Peeler works too quickly, moving from room to room (he has four dental chairs in his office) and patient to patient in a rapid manner, leaving no time to answer patients' questions. I lost a tooth to decay a year after I had a crown put on by him. He has repeatedly said there are no guarantees in dentistry. I'm just not comfortable anymore. I have stayed for years because the price was right, but I have to look for a new dentist now.
Excellent dentist---works quickly and very proficient. Not that much small talk, but that's fine with me. He communicates well on dental issues. Dr. Peeler is very aware any time you show stress/pain and will make sure you are adequately numbed up before continuing. If you are looking for someone who really knows what he is doing, every time--Dr. Peeler is an excellent choice. Insurance coverage is good--costs are affordable compared to others. I would highly recommend Dr. Peeler--nothing but good experience for me.
I visited Dr. Peeler over a five year period. I was very pleased with my experience in many respects, but I eventually left the practice because I felt he was not very attentive. First, the good: the hygenists are great, very friendly, and do their job quickly. Dr. Peeler did a good job filling cavities in my mouth. don't try this doctor. you won't get even 10 sec of attention. he runs from office to office, and as another patient said he talks extremely fast and does not care whether you understand or not and he is not interested in whether you have follow-up questions. just come in, look at chart for 5 seconds, operate, and sprint to another room. don't expect him to explain anything. he did a lousy job for my root canal, and worst of all kinds, hepushed for the permanent crown so he can bill to get his money.
I went to Dr. Peeler because he was listed on a reduced fee dental service. He seems nervous and not fully comfortable in speaking with patients. Speaks quickly and moves on. Has 4 or 5 exam rooms and moves rapidly from one to the other. Does a high volume business taking all dental plans. I had a crown done there and then lost the tooth to decay within a year. dr peeler has done wonderful work for me, i would recommend him to anyone
Dr. Peeler does talk very fast, but he seems to work pretty quickly as well. I like the fact that he understand how intimidating the dentist's office can be for some people and is gentle. he did a front crown for me, and while the color was a little off at first try, he did offer to send it back and get it perfect. That was important. Overall, I am glad he is my dentist
