Dr. Sliva and his assistants took great care of me. They answered all my questions and my surgery went perfectly. It was the best surgical experience I've ever had!
As a healthcare worker myself, I was not looking forward to being on the other side of the bed! Dr. Sliva and his staff took time with me to fully understand and explain my symptoms. I have had back pain for as long as I can remember.. I had pain down both of my legs and could barely sit. I went on vacation and had fallen which ended in me having a horrible herniated disc and numbness down my leg and not able to walk correctly...After seeing Dr. Sliva and him performing an open lumbar discectomy.. I went to see Dr Sliva after spending 2 months in excruciating pain. Both Dr. Sliva and his PA Brad Wolf were absolutely amazing. They were compassionate about the pain I was in, and spent so much time to fully explain all my options in great detail. I needed a 2 level spinal fusion which was scheduled. Dr. Sliva explained the entire surgery in plain language. Everything he said would happen -did and even better their were zero unpleasant 'surprises'. His entire staff is extremely helpful with special shout outs to Brad his nurse practitioner, and Megan, Dr. Sliva's nurse. Jami, the doctors surgical scheduler also deserves special credit.
By the time I got to Dr. Silva I was in bad shape. Dr. Silva and his team went to work, setting up the surgery, all paperwork and ordered all medicines. My family and I showed up for surgery and once out of surgery the brace was on and I was released to go home. We stopped on the way home to pick up medicine that was already filled by his team. I was told I would need spinal surgery 10 years ago. I was In excruciating pain for 10 years and many Drs wouldn’t operate because they thought it was my fibromyalgia pain. Boy were they wrong!!!
