Took his time, listened to my concerns especially since had back surgery yr ago March and still in an unbelievable amount of pain and other Dr. just pushed me out the door. Needless to say today he's having to do complete revision. Jennifer worked super hard to schedule me within a week, no easy task! The first visit wait time was longer than expected, but other times normal wait. DON'T let the wait time discourage you, he's worth it with how he listens, explains, not into #'s he can see in day
I have to commend this surgeon and thank him in so many ways. 15 years ago I was in a four wheeler accident and suffered from fractured vertabra. This Doctor performed a lumbar fusion surgery across 5 vertabrae with bone graft from my hip bone and I am alive and walking to this day. This Doctor essentially saved my life and I will be forever grateful.
The wait time is terrible. The last time my husband came, the wait was almost 3 hours. I feel scheduling needs to be more accurate. (I think I would have left).
Yesterday I had my first appointment with Dr. Meyer. He was very busy and I had to wait an hour so I was not happy at first. But when I met him, he spent an hour with me explaining what is still wrong with my spine and that the pain can be lessened. He ordered a shot and physical therapy. After that is completed, he will come up with a treatment plan if I am still in pain. I have more hope that I've had in years and believe he will help me. He explained things no other doctor ever had.
Dr. Meyer did my neck surgery. He was kind and understanding. Before my surgery, my left arm and my neck and back were extremely painful. Also, I had tingling in my left thumb and first two fingers. It was impossible to find a comfortable position to sleep. Now, my pain is almost completely gone, and in fact, my pain is better than it has been for twenty years - since my first neck surgery by a different surgeon. I am so grateful and pleased with my surgery and Dr. Meyer and his staff.
Dr. Meyer is far to conservative. I went to see him regarding my back and he simply referred me to pain management doctor. Despite my MRI results, he said it was my hip not my back. I wait an hour to learn absolutely nothing.

MRI results are only part of the evaluation. Your findings in the history and physical exam need to be consistent and often there are several causes of pain. We use pain management colleagues to provide temporary relief and to help to define the problem so appropriate solutions can be recommended. We spend a lot of time explaining our rationale, so I am disappointed you felt you learned less than you had hoped.
Dr. Meyer operated on my spine last October. The procedure was complex and took approximately 15 hours. I could not have been in better hands. I strongly recommend Dr. Meyer, Melissa, and rest of his staff.
My father had back surgery 2 1/2 years ago. It resolved his back pain, but not the numbness in his legs and feet. He has been unable to find answers/successful treatment for this, despite numerous tests, doctors, etc. I took him to Dr Meyer, and finally got the answers he's been needing. Dr Meyer was very patient and thorough in his explanation of what was going on, and his recommendations for treatment.
Staff rude and careless and Doctor does not give you enough time to explain about your concerns!
