This has got to be the worst service. I can understand stuff happens but it’s ridiculous to be sitting from 10pm-2am in the waiting room and when they finally called us they put us in room just to still be sitting in the room. Saint Francis next time.
My father was sent to this ER after becoming apneic, having multiple runs of PVCs, and possibly new onset a-fib. This occured in a doctors office who immediately sent him to this ER. HE was discharged with well your electrolytes look good. This is not the standard of care for a cardiac event. No serial troponins, no admission for monitoring or a stress test. A veterinarian clinic would have provided better care. If possible i would not even give this hospital 1 star. As a board certified emergency nurse I am appalling at the... read more

Went in with chest pains after having a seizure & falling. They left me in the hallway for 2 hours before I had to make a scene. Chest pain got worse & started throwing up. Finally got a room just to be left alone for another 2 hours. 3 nurses came to take blood & couldn't find a vein. After another hour I left. Didn't see a doctor. Didn't get anything for the nausea or headache. Didn't even get discharge papers.

Waits are ridiculously long. When I was there for what ended up being severe gastritis pain the first thing they do after 3 hours is take down my symptoms and give me pain meds to try to stop the pain that made the pain more severe. My sister has been here on several occasions and its always a 3+ hour endeavor, more like 6. They feel overcrowded, they cannot attend to everyone that they bring in within a timely manner. I totaled my car and got rushed to Christiana in an ambulance. They pushed me in a bed off ina hallway by myself didn’t ask me if I needed anything didn’t ask to call my parents or anyone and just left me there. Finally I called my mom after I figured out where my phone was and all my shit and I had to be the one to call my mom. They gave me TYLENOL after me complaining for hours that I was in a lot of pain.
