Place is terrible. Staff left my 85 year old mother suffering in the waiting room in a hypertensive crisis for over 6 hours. Left and went to an urgent care. Please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for any health emergencies.

If it wasn’t for my doctor, I wouldn’t step foot in that hospital. Had major surgery and was discharged ion my own. Nurses were sitting eating Doritos and one got me a wheelchair and went back to relaxing. With instructions of no lifting and not been on my own walking, I loaded my wheelchair up with my suitcase, backpack and flowers. Pushed my wheel chair down to patient pick up. Dropped my flowers on the way out of the elevator on  the  ground. I sat on the floor crying,  totally humiliated. I know people who wouldn’t treat... read more

My daughter had a procedure that required her to be admitted and have it performed in the OR.  From admittance until she was released, we encountered excellent care given by 8 different medical staff which included nurses, anesthesiologists, and her doctor.  Every single one of these professionals conducted themselves not only professionally but with kindness, care, and complete and thorough knowledge of each role they performed.  I would highly recommend Christiana Hospital to anyone.  We left with confidence that her medic... read more

Both Dr. Higgins and RN De'Ja are provide great service by listening to patient concerns and offering multiple solutions. The ER Team that triaged me was also great, Dr. Hsu. The positive review ends there. At shift changed I ended up with Dr. Adorno. Dismissive, inpatient, and could not/would not give me the time of day when I explained I've explored every avenue she suggested and still don't feel well. I totally understand that ER medicine may not provide all the answers, but to send a patient home that still feels th... read more

When patient concerns are brought directly to her after chain-of-command is exhausted & creative attempts to connect via social media are what's left as options, Dr. Nevin nor her office associates take opportunity to hear the patient out. She seems to rely on a bizarre "Leadership" model which causes supervisors to refuse contact as well by funneling calls down to the very same employees patient has complaints about. The attempts for resolution are thwarted by this circuitous system. In addition, the outright refusal to eng... read more

An absolute nightmare to deal with entry through the Emergency Room. Thirteen hours of a hall bed where private demographic information, test results and doctor discussions are said openly within the hallway for all to hear. What a flagrant violation of patient privacy HIPAA laws! From a hall bed when emergency got even busier to what they call a Z Bed. The Z Bed consisted of five hours in a public hallway on the fourth floor with no monitoring, facilities or care. To use a bathroom consisted of a 200 foot walk being held u... read more

Intimidated and put at risk by a doctor. Patients rights not explained. I have had mostly poor experiences with ChristianaCare, but this was by far the worst I have ever had. Their systematic dismantling of Northern Delaware healthcare is almost complete, requiring you to use their services no matter how much they have let you down in the past. Their monopoly should be broken up, fast.
