I was really disappointed with our experience at North Knoxville Pediatrics (now Boys & Girls Pediatrics). From the moment we walked in, the front desk staff were cold and unwelcoming, which set the tone for the rest of our visit. The waiting area isn’t very inviting or child-friendly either—it felt more depressing than comforting, which isn’t ideal for a pediatric office. I had sent my children to this office for 7 years with my own children & before i even went to this drs office when i was a child (i am now 26yrs old so a long time loyal customer) when it was still known as Childrens Hospital Primary care, then changed to North Knoxville Pediatric, and now finally Boys & Girls Pediatrics. I love this place...my daughter has the best Dr. Mr Angel Acevedo. I would recommend him to anyone
We have been dismissed from this practice because my daughter who is 16 did not want to take a vaccination that had hurt her before and the practice dismissed us over not taking the 2nd dose. Extremely disappointed in the handling of the patient that wants to make decision about her own body that hurt her the last time. This was maybe a sign anyways that we need to leave. Not right that we can not have a say in her own health care.
Unprofessional and dismissive. Take my son in due to him feeling sick and his school calling me to pick him up early due to vomiting and fever. The provider that saw him immediately just dismissed any possibility of him being sick and then made the comment that he would swab because he had to. The nurse from the moment was very nasty and rude. She was not very patient or kind to my child at all.
