Took my daughter here for a phase 1 treatment, that we found out didn't work. The doctors were nice and understanding the nurses few were good most were not. We did not have a good experience there. And we spent all last summer living in that hospital.
The wait time to get an appointment here is really unacceptable. Both times it has taken four months to get in. That's obviously way to long of a wait for a child who is in pain. This has happened to us not once, but twice. ENT and now orthopedics. If you have a child in dire need of care you better just go elsewhere. Then when you wait that four months and go to the appointment they aren't even busy. Nurses sitting around talking and laughing. I really hope they don't make kids with cancer wait four months to be seen.
Our daughter miss Allison Baker.. 1 year ago to this month our baby was life flighted to childrens mercy with bacterial meningitis not responding and basically in a coma after God's will and the best people at Childrens mercy our baby came out with zero side effects.. she is another miracle from childrens mercy and we thank you.
I cannot say enough good things about this hospital. The care was excellent, the staff was amazing with my baby. And now that I've read their policy on physical punishment and hitting, I will only choose this hospital for my children. Thank you, Children's Mercy, times a million.
