Brought my daughter in for a burn last night and EVERYONE was so fun and funny. They took great care of her, answered ALL of my questions and laughed along with us. Thank you ALL for your professionalism, kindness and knowledge. God Bless you guys.
Our son was diagnosed with a rare heart condition in December 2015. At 4 months old he underwent open heart surgery by Dr. Delius. His recovery was long almost 2 months but the care he received while in the PICU was exceptional! Dr. Talford was right on what was best for our sons recovery and if it wasn't for the top natch staff my son wouldn't be thriving today just 5 months post op!!!!
The doctors and most of the nurses are awesome and my son always gets great care. However, almost all of the receptionists need to be fired. They are incredibly rude, incompetent, and disrespectful. Also, parking gets expensive when you have to stay a week at a time. It's hard enough when your child is incredibly sick and you're missing work and struggling to get by, then you add on $4 a day parking. Pretty ridiculous. Fix those 2 issues and the hospital would be 5 stars.
Place is the biggest joke I've ever seen Staff is preoccupied and very uncaring Assholes
Registration/Billing is a nightmare! I have been trying to resolve a billing issue for 10 months now, which is outrageous, and half the problem was registration not doing their job in the beginning. Registration made me scared to even have my child treated there...which is very sad because all of the clinical staff is amazing. Then when I think I am finally getting somewhere with a billing supervisor, he retires and the hospital billing has no recollection of what I spoke with him about!! The emergency room in troy is terrible! I won't b going back! Bcuz of them cps is at my house sayin I'm starving my son... Which is a lie! They didn't diagnosed him or run tests or nothing they were waiting for cps to show up at the hospital but I left before they got there.... How r u going to tell someone to wait for 2 hrs for discharge papers when it was a lie!!!! How are u going to tell the parents to feed your child when he eats like 10 times a day??? My 14 month old had surgery here yesterday. We chose a surgeon and this hospital on recommendation from her pediatrician. I never write reviews but after trying to survive 24 hours here I wouldn't recommend anyone take even their family pet here. The entire hospital is filthy. The bathrooms, the pre-op rooms, the cafeteria, the observation unit- everything from the carts to the cribs to the floors - is covered in a layer of grime. After spending a week in Children's Hospital with Nicholas I realized we are very blessed to be here the nurses are very caring and the Drs worked with him and his quirks and they all treat your kid like their own they show so much love down to the volunteers who sit and do magic tricks with the kids.I thank every one who has worked with Nick Border and made us feel at home for the last 7 days .I thank God for the nurses and Drs and employees of Children's hospital.
I will never bring my daughter here ever again. Staff is horrible. It took them six hrs to get my nine month old daughter her antibiotic and formula. The nurses rather talk with each other instead of doing there job. So calling Monday and complaining. Also they left her identification band on too tight that it cut into her. Yup not happy at all should of went to Beaumont hospital. very very mad I can't believe they hire people that rather sit at the desk and talk loud while the kids are sleeping.
