My son had a 24 hour EEG yesterday (2nd floor of the main hospital) and was released today. His siblings came to visit him last night. His sister (11) got really emotional seeing her baby brother in the hospital. Our nurse, Liz, was SO comforting and even took the time to show my daughter the EEG monitor and explained what was going on, in an effort to bring her more comfort. And it worked. I could not get a single answer as to why they pumped my newborn full of antibiotics his first day of life. Now he many GI issues due to the destroyed microbiome. I just kept being told “it’s our procedure” even though there was no indication there was some sort of infection. Not a single independent thought from the doctors, just “procedure”. I genuinely wish we would have just stayed home.
I will just say it’s shocking they hire such rude and no compassion nurses and doctors. After all it is a children’s hospital. After all these reviews you would think they would change their ways but nope. They don’t care. We had one good experience here after a car accident accident but the next two were garbage. Do better and hire doctors who care about children and their parents not just have an ego.
