Clinicians are lacking in ability to assist people. During my ~6 months I was with CFS I was advised to start selling plasma to stave of poverty while waiting for a disability decision I did not believe would succeed. When I went the plasma facility I learned I would not be eligible because of a hospitalization my clinition was aware of. Some poorly trained clinicians. Clinicians with limited understanding of autism and ADHD. Inexperience lends to biases and impacts quality of care. CFS is not affirming. Unreceptive to best practices. Staff more likely to make assumptions than ask questions to better understand. Punitive and shame-based treatment. Some really great clinicians but ultimately the culture lends to harm due to limited understanding of neurodivergence. My child received better support from a private practice. They lost a lot of good staff during covid, but they still maintain the same core. With a history of reaching out to families who need help..
