Due to unexpected circumstances I found myself in the critical care unit at St. Joseph hospital in Lexington. In a vulnerable position like this both empathy and reassurance are two qualities one would hope for in hospital employees providing critical care. I can only say that the exemplary group at this hospital CCU fulfilled the mission and then some. I would particularly like to call out Becca, Jacob and Lauren as they obviously really cared. DONT WORK HERE. THE Management are liars. They say they will give you benefits like tuition reimbursement. But even once you file all the paper work for it they wont give it to you. HR are a bunch of LIars. Unethical Company that dont care about there Employees. They might as well be slaves

Horrible experience. Let me say the nurses here are WONDERFUL. This hospital has a huge sanitation issue. Flys, gnats, etc. in a hospital? Food service - absolutely disgusting. Letting people serve themselves, handling the food, unsanitary employees, this cafeteria was NASTY. Dirty is an understatement. No vegetables being served, only pizza and lasagna that had been sitting under heat lamps for what appeared to me a lengthy amount of time that people had came and just torn into and left mess after mess. Reading these reviews totally upset me. I was a nurse at St Joes, Harrodsburg Rd for approx 29 years all total. Our hospital ranked in the top 50 in the nation, it was cleaned very good every day, we did total patient care and worked out butts off to administer great care to all our patients. Our Drs. were very professional and were very attentative of their patients. I can't say enough about the administrative employees. My daughter participated in the volunteer teenage program. Very little guidance provided and a very unfriendly volunteer coordinator made for an unpleasant experience. I can not recommend the program.

Well, I showed up for my carpin tunnel surgery at 9am. The doc shows up at about 1pm. So I had time to lay there and evaluate. First of all the bed was awful. I am an older overweight woman with bad hip and knees and by the time my doc waltzed in I was in agony. One or two of the nurses where very nice, but most seemed very irritated and rushed and overworked, but to be fair, they all tried to care for my medical needs and I can’t complain about that. My mother has basaloid cancer and she was here the first time after first surgery they discharged her against her will and with her immune system bottomed out they put her in a cab and sent her home after she askes to stayThe second time and present day she had a electronic cigarette and a nurse aide told the charge nurse it was a crack pipe they came up with two security guards and tossed her room we requested a drug test to prove her wrong which it came back negative of course and we requested another aide after that well ... read more
