My friend was treated so badly during the process of buying a wedding dress from Chester & Felicity. The dress she tried on and said "yes" to was sadly nothing like the one she received. And the company did nothing to assist in rectifying it. So she started the process again, found a different and much nicer dress at another shop, an expense a bride should not have to incur twice. Chester & Felicity in my opinion were not upstanding. I would hate to see this happen to another bride.
Beautiful bridal store with beautiful dresses. I felt the process was amazing during the initial try on day, i even ended up saying yes to my dress. However, after taking it to a tailor I was told that everything that dress consultant told me could be done & showed me in the store (sleeves, hem, etc) was an unrealistic and impossible job with the dress I purchased. My friends and I had the best experience at Chester & Felicity when I went to try on dresses in February (can finally post pictures now that I've just had my wedding!). Charlotte was our consultant, and she made us feel comfortable right away, walked us through the process, and just made the whole appointment a fun time. I drove an 8 hour round trip two times to come to this store. Very good customer service when youre in the process to order a dress, but in my experience that changed when my dress came in 9 months later and it was different then the sample I tried on. I am now out the money of my dress, three months before my wedding, with them unwilling to do anything besides ship fabric to alter it which a seamstress I went to said could not be altered to make my dress like the sample, which this shop insisted looked exactly the same as m... read more
Unfortunately, Chester and Felicity missed the mark in making sure my friend was happy for her wedding day. The initial appointment went great and she walked away that day with a dress being ordered. What happened 9 months later when the dress arrived was not something we expected. When the dress arrived, we were quite taken back by the difference in the sample and the ordered dress.
