Made a special trip Saturday right after 12, website shows hours open until 2. One worker was in warehouse, office locked and none to help you. A waste of my time. Tried to call again about 130, not good service obviously.
Good selection some pricing a little high in my opinion but I like the place. Most staff friendly other than cashier. She’s pretty rude. Kinda got attitude of Archie Bunker, And I’m not Edith btw... still worth going if your woodworking .
I’ve bought here twice. Both times the people and wood offered were exceptional. I’m in the process of moving to Lookout Mountain and will be visiting and buying more often. Prices are reasonable and the selection is good.

Been to Chattanooga Hardwood Center a few times now and I have always had a positive experience! Fair prices, knowledgable, and kind.
Business response:
Wow! Love the way the grain looks so 3D when you get a finish on it! Great choice of a beautiful, durable species! Thank you for your review and for choosing to shop local!
We bought three types lumber last summer. The bulk of what we bought was walnut and was irregular shaped and was only good for kindling and fire wood. While we waited inside for the truck and trailer to be loaded our very expensive walnut that we bought turned into junk. We still have a large pile left over that we couldn’t use for a thing. The other two types of lumber were fine but unfortunately it turned into a very expensive load costing around $4,000.
Bought some red oak from Chw and a few boards were not the correct thickness, simple oversight on their part and mine. Brought it back and they made it right without any trouble at all!! Amazing selection of beautiful hardwoods at reasonable prices /an extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff. I will be back!
