In 2016, Dr. Charlie found a very rare cancer, Hidradenocarcinoma. It makes up less that 0.01% of all skin cancers. He sent me to Dr. Joseph Valentino, ENT cancer team. The carcinoma was completely removed. In February 2021, he again found another rare cancer, only 1 in 100,000 cancer patients will have this. Appointment at 10:40am with Dr. Becknell and as of writing this post it is 12pm and I have yet to be seen. I completely understand that they cannot gauge how long each patient will take but then why are they booking multiple patients per hour when they know that on average it’ll keep patients waiting over an hour past their appointment time? The front staff, when asked if this wait time is normal, just shrugged and stated “it depends on the cases in front of you”. No apology, no offer to reschedule, nothing. Dr. Becknell is knowledgable and thorough. He probably has saved my life. Any wait time is worth it - he takes care and time with each one of his patients.

Prompt diagnosis Nd treatment. He remembered my case well ( skin cancer) from a decade ago without checking g the record.

I visited with him today and was very pleased. I will be back next year for my annual visit. If I had paid attention to the negative reviews I would’ve never kept the appointment. I’m so glad I came. He was very thorough and never once made me feel uncomfortable. I will definitely recommend him to anyone needing to see a dermatologist.

Made me extremely uncomfortable as a young woman. I was there for my face and he lifted my shirt without asking to see my chest and back. He looked my body up and down and made several innapropriate comments about my body. He went into depth about being sexual active and quizzed me on marriage and plans for my future. I feel so disrespected, I even made a police report and complained to the medical board. If you are a young woman be cautious.

Dr. Becknell is absolutely worth the wait. If you lack patience for the superb medical care that he will surely provide, I would suggest that you pack a lunch. This man does excellent work and has such a positive bedside manner that it's almost unheard of these days. He will be thorough in his care for you and make you feel like your concerns are addressed. I will definitely be recommending him and his services.

An excellent dermatologist who is working in a disastrous practice. Hour long waits afterv scheduled appointment times always happen and ease of obtaining medical record information from office staff is problematic. If Dr. Becknell was not as good as he is - I would NEVER come back.
