My friends and I were out celebrating my birthday, so I chose Char, since I've never been. It was a great choice. It's an upscale restaurant for an upscale lady like myself. The food and service was top notch!! My steak was finger-licking good!!!

We're renovating and tired of eating out of a box and wondering where the flour and salt are. We had not been to Char in two years. She chose it. This is by far the best bone-in rib eye anywhere in America, hands down. I cannot imagine a better steak and I've eaten them all over the country including Doe's in Greenville, having grown up in the delta. I have been to Char a few times and enjoyed it but the hostess experience this time was terrible. They told my grandmother that it would be a 30 to 40 minute wait. An hour later we asked and she said it would be 20 to 30 minutes more and that we had 5 people in front of us. The hostess said there was nothing she could do and was not too friendly about it. Kind of disappointed. �

My son's 12th birthday was just yesterday. My wife and I really wanted this particular year to be a special one -he's our oldest son and he is just about to reach his teen years.
