Dr. Laverty has been my neurologist for about 10 years she's very knowledgeable about my specific condition(Duchenne muscular dystrophy) what some may have perceived as being condescending is just her trying make sure her patients understand what is going on rather than just throwing around words you may not understand. Every time I see her she treats me with respect and makes sure to answer all of my questions.
Dr. Laverty has been my doctor for over two years. Her expertise, coupled with her consistently courteous and insightful approach, instills great confidence in her ability to provide comprehensive and up-to-date care. She is one of the best healthcare professionals I have ever had.
This Dr. lacks bed side manners. She spent very little time with me… When I asked her a question, her response was your problem is psychosomatic and left.
Dr Laverty was recommended by a friend. I have a rare disease (CIDP) and have had excellent progress on my current treatment. Dr. Laverty did not agree with the IVIG infusions which has kept me walking for the last 10 years. Said it was a bandaid. I listened to her concerns but felt good about my decision to continue my current treatment has worked for me for 10 years. I did finally try her way, the side effects of 2 types landed me in bed. She wanted me to try a 3rd and I said no done beginning bedridden and miserable. For ... read more
Horrible! Condescending! Impatient! When she can’t diagnose you, she recommends you see a psychiatrist or psychologist. All those negative reviews on her are accurate. I ignored them unfortunately.
I should have taken the bad reviews of Dr. Laverty on several sites seriously. Thought she may be able to help me based on her bio. I never ever had an experience where I left a doctor’s office nearly in tears. I waited for 7 months to see her and on day of the appointment she had me wait for over 1 hour while she was reviewing my medical records. I finally asked a nurse where is she as I’ve been waiting for a long time. She came in minutes after my inquiry and stormed into the room treating me like a child wasting her time.... read more
This doctor is the most disconnected, uncaring individual I have ever encountered. After waiting 7 months to get in to see her l, she didn't even bother to review my chart prior to our appointment. She was extremely rude with horrible bedside manner and acted like she knew everything whilst providing me contradictory health advice. She actually claimed Dantrolene to be a depolarizing muscle relaxer, when in fact Dantrolene is the only drug that will save your life when you have an MH episode, which is something I am prone to... read more
Neuropathic pain is not something that can be detected and is subjective. Like other reviews state here, the doctor is dismissive of patients who are greatly suffering and seek her help. If she cannot diagnose you, she suggests the pain is phycological. This is not a professional attitude and is rather an arrogant approach to practicing medicine.
My experience with Dr Konersman is unfortunately similar to the other 2 patients who left negative reviews. My symptoms for pain and neuropathy are well documented in my medical history and examinations by other doctors including doctor Konersman’s colleagues. I am being treated for these symptoms by other providers but decided to seek a second opinion. Doctor Konersman based on looking at the way I walk suggested that my complaints were due to being depressed and suggested I should see a psychiatrist! It was an unpleasant e... read more
