When I went to school in MA there was this place with the same name. This place doesn't live up to my college memories, but it does make an awesome burrito. I like it with everything on it. All wet and yummy. I can't have the queso sadly or the sour cream, but the fresh ingredients and green sauce make up for it.
Quality, flavorful Mexican fare made with some locally sourced ingredients. Great happy hour menu, yummy salsas, and friendly staff.
Muy Sabrosa! – I love Mexican cuisine and am pretty happy with a simple burrito, but I was shocked at how uniquely flavored the dishes were. For a vegetarian, my options are usually pretty limited but it was not the case at this place. My husband had pork something and said that was fantastic as well. We were very impressed and will be back. It does get very busy around lunch time, being a popular food destination for obvious reasons, so there can be a wait, but it isn't fast food and doesn't taste like it either.
Bad Mexican – We got sick. Both my boyfriend and I after eating at this restaurant. Will NOT go back. EVER! Service was nice. People friendly. But, cannot be getting sick.. too many good restaurants around for that to happen. Back to Aqui we go!
Fantastic, real mexican food – I had to write this just to say that this is an excellent mexican restaurant. I have been happy with almost everything i've ever ordered here. I think the problem with the two people below is that they are Taco Bell people. People who go to Cha Cha Cha do not enjoy Taco Bell, and I suppose vice versa. But Cha Cha Cha uses real food. Real meat, real beans, real cheese, and real flavors. Taco Belll..well...not so much.
Disappointed! Worst Mexican food ever! – First time my coworkers and I tried this restaurant and it was the most disappointing Mexican food experience ever. I think that Taco Bell is better (and cheaper). There was no spice to the food and the restaurant had no spicy salsa or hot sauce. Found a black hair in my food, took it up and they tried to tell me there was no hair! They did still give me a refund on the meal though. The atmosphere is cute; however, black and white photos of babies and children don't really go w/ a Mex... read more
Same Bland Taste as Taco Bell – I have "American" tastes so I stick with simple items like burritos. I've had ONE in five visits where the order was correct. This is especially frustrating because I get my order to go and don't find out until I'm home that they've ruined it by putting rice in it (yes, I dislike rice that much). Don't even suggest that I check before I pull away from the restaurant - what a mess! Counter staff is rude and it takes forever to get your order (a bean and cheese burrito shouldn't take 10 - 15 min... read more
The Best! – We're new to Portland but we LOVE Cha Cha Cha! We actually ate here before we moved here and love it so much it's hard for us to try new places. Everything I have tried is fantastic. I recommed any of the burritos and the Cha Nachos. The mole sauce is fantastic. Their regular burritos (with no sauce on top) are PERFECT for picking up on the way to the movies/show/etc. The staff is so nice and they know what they're doing. Always on top of it. When the line is long during peak times, it goes pretty fast and the fo... read more
Quality depends on the day bad food, good service – My co-worker eats at cha cha cha everyday and is always praising their food, so i decided to try it, I went to the location on Glisan I got a EL patron steak burrito and it was one of the best burritos I have ever had, so i decided it's a good place to have my lunch once in a while . The following week I went ot the location on broadway and got the same burrito, and i was horrified, the steak was tough, burrito was half beans one one piece on steak. To make matters worse wh... read more
