About this business
History Established in 1794. The land, now known as Scenery Hill, was first surveyed in 1785 by Isaac Bush and was given the name Springtown. Later, George Hill purchased the land and conveyed it to his son Stephen Hill in which the town was renamed Hillsboro until April 10th, 1867. It is believed that George Hill began construction of the Inn in 1788 and his son, Stephen, finished it in 1794. The stone used to build the Inn was quarried from the surrounding area. I was here with my husband and parents this evening for an outstanding meal. The inside is absolutely beautiful! The food was delicious, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was very cozy and elegant. We will be back!
We have loved Century Inn for over 30 years, and we were thrilled to return to our favorite place for lunch recently! The inn has been so lovingly restored and the food was wonderful...especially the peanut soup! How special to spend some time talking with Megin and Leta too!! What a blessing to our family! It was like coming home❤️
It is wonderful to have Century Inn back with us again. The atmosphere makes you feel right at home with cozy fireplace smells. Food is top of the line quality especially their peanut soup. Service is impeccable. Great lodging options as well. Check out the decor and you can sleep in a room named for where a historical person once lodged. Great for special occasions or everyday eating.
