About this business
History Established in 1794. The land, now known as Scenery Hill, was first surveyed in 1785 by Isaac Bush and was given the name Springtown. Later, George Hill purchased the land and conveyed it to his son Stephen Hill in which the town was renamed Hillsboro until April 10th, 1867. It is believed that George Hill began construction of the Inn in 1788 and his son, Stephen, finished it in 1794. The stone used to build the Inn was quarried from the surrounding area. We went there for Easter 2018 and the food was excellent! Nice remodel job after the fire. I have eaten there before the fire also. The food has always been excellent!!
Had a very enjoyable birthday dinner celebration at the Century Inn on Saturday evening. The food was delicious, and the restoration of the Inn is absolutely incredible. Top notch food, top notch service, and a uniquely historic environment to enjoy.
Place looks great, staff was friendly, and the food was good. Only downside was the limited menu.
*This is to amend my review ( which I can’t locate to edit �). After dining there back in February 2018, I gave the “Inn” five stars and commented positively on everything from the perfectly reclaimed historic structure to the best foods I’ve ever tasted from their kitchen. Not complaining, I mentioned that the food was pricey but certainly worth every penny. Haven’t actually been since they reopened but can’t wait to make a trip!!
Fantastic place, great atmosphere and amazing food and drinks.
We had dinner here with our daughter and son in law. The atmosphere was awesome! The staff was beyond excellant and the food amazing! We are glad the renovation went well the place is stunning. Congratulations on a job well done. We will be recommending you all to everyone and definately be back.
Had a wonderful time here this evening with my wife, her mother and father. Absolutely delicious dinner, service was second to none, and the renovation is a work of art. We would highly recommend this beautiful historic place to anyone! We will be back soon!
