My Doctor sent to for a CT scan that was performed by Centra on September 13, 2024. On October 4 I realized that I had not heard from my doctor about my results. I call the doctor's office and leave message. October 7 doctor realizes they do not have test results. The office has to go onto Centra's website for the results. Once results were reviewed I was told to go to the ER immediately!!!. If this was such an urgent matter then why did Centra not send the results of the CT scan to my physician. If you have a choice , I recommend u stay far far away. Had quad bypass by Holman ******. He left my sternum infected,went round and round with him for three weeks, then he got excited and wanted to open me back up? No Thanks. Went to *** ****** ****. First thing CDC came into my room and wanted to know who left me in this condition? 120 days later left with NO STERNUM. 2nd posting do you think Centra ever followed up . NOPE. Absolutely horrible care. Nurses consistently lied to my family, ignored us, were rude to us, and hung up on us several times when we called for updates on my grandmother's condition. One doctor actually lied and told her he had spoken to me when he had not. Do not send your loved one here if you can help it. I have just written a letter to the CEO this place was so bad. I agree - it deserves 0 stars.

In reference to the Emergency Dept. Long story short. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I went to the ED, because I had symptoms of a spinal fluid leak soon after back surgery. The headache from this, is worse than any migraine anyone might experience. The only relief from this type of headache is to lie down. So, here's what happened. My wife took me there and we were met at the front door, by a lady screening for covid. We asked if she could get something so I could lie down. *Nursing staff,DrB*** in(Emergdept)Excellent- very knowledgeable, compassionate, supportive.* Huge lack of communication between staff as well as staff and patient.OtherMD's may have medical knowledge but have at times used their position to push(in my opinion bully) w/ a severe lack of under- standing of someone in (either physical or emotional) crisis.
they REFUSE to properly bill my insurance and my sons. I am NOT paying these bills when I CLEARLY HAVE INSURANCE ON FILE
the nurses are rude and they don't educate the patients of the diagnosis and or procedures.
Centra Health, Lynchburg, VA, administration has serious problems with it's Rx ordering. Previous to some change at Centra, my wife and I would get prescriptions needed immediately from a local pharmacy and 90 day maintenance prescriptions by mail order. Staff at Centra would always ask where to send the Rx request. That has changed. Now Centra has defaulted to using mail order for all of our prescriptions - without notifying us, the patients.
