I am SO glad I found Cedar Creek Cabin rentals. our cabin, Bear Claw, was outstanding!! Even though we hit a rainy patch for our getaway, it was still wonderful! Cabin looks very nice, but thats where it ends. Filthy, poorly maintained, and not equipped for a luxury cabin. No sheets, bath towels found in dryer and no face cloths or hand towels whatsoever. Floors disgusting, tvs weren't working, 3 forks, gross coffee pot, oven, and stove top. Shower had mold growing all around it. j have been renting cabins near Helen since the mid 80s and this was the absolute worst. Still waiting on refund 6 weeks later for 3rd nite as we left after 2nd with cccr approval
My fiancé and I went here last Christmas. I came to their Facebook page to see how they were doing and it makes me feel so relieved that I’m not the only person who had a terrible experience with Wendy and that she was and apparently still is a big liar, I’m surprised she’s still there. The cabin we stayed in was beautiful - I’ll give them that. My husband and I rented this cabin for a long weekend getaway. We were immediately disappointed. We arrived Thursday afternoon and there was no power due to a storm that had come through the day before. We had no power, no heat, no stove, etc. We called the rental company and they refused to reimburse us. We went to town for firewood and candles and stayed the night hoping the power would come on and save our trip. It never did. We had a cabin rental for our honeymoon . We purchased the cancellation insurance which now that I am reading reviews I have to wonder if we weren’t scammed on that. On the way to our honeymoon we found out that someone we were in very close contact with was in ICU with Covid . Also turned out that my husband and child were also positive . We called and spoke with Wendy Galloway and she informed us that our insurance would not cover it and that we should either come or reschedule within a year . I’m writing this over because I put it in the wrong spot, I do not mind writing this over as you can see! I’m beyond frustrated WENDY GALLOWAY is the biggest liar I have ever seen run a business. My agreement said I had until September 17th (the day the second payment was to come out of my account) to cancel before I wouldn’t get a full refund minus the rental fee.
