Dr boardman was an answer to my prayers, I had a few gynecologist doctors before and didn’t want to take my case until I was referred to her. I’m an 18 year Vulvar Sarcoma Survivor and Dr. Boardman is part of my journey. When two male doctors dismissed my concerns, Dr. Boardman heard me. She ordered appropriate scans showing a 2cm lesion and my surgery soon followed. It was thought this was a recurrence of Epithelioid Sarcoma from 2005 and she took every precaution possible for me to have the best outcome possible. She is wonderful in every way!!!!!
Surgical skills were good, poor ethics and very poor in process following surgery. Problem came with disclosure of full diagnosis and treatment options. She worked in a mode of deciding for me the course and didn’t fully disclose info vital to making an informed choice. In doing so I was also not informed of possibility of return as it was an aggressive cancer. Had to find all this out a year later when treatment options were no longer available.
Love Dr Boardman! She was a Godsend and I am so grateful that she was my Oncologist! She was very caring and thorough in her explanation of what I was to expect with surgery/treatment. Dr Cecilia Boardman is not only a skillful surgeon and loving Doctor, she has empathy and treats each person like they are her only patient. Most importantly, she also understood that my faith in God was a vital part of my healing process!
