My daughter terminated her lease 60 days before it began but they are charging her $500 to break the lease even though they are renting to another tenant. I know the law says they have to make reasonable attempt to rent the property. There will be no rent lost. So I’m not sure why she’d have to pay. That’s bad business.

Business response:

Therese, we're really sorry to hear that you and your daughter are unsatisfied with your leasing experience here. We aim to thoroughly communicate the terms of our contracts so there's no confusion or unwanted surprises, so if you feel there's been a mistake, please feel free to email us at marketing.caycecove@pepshmgmt.com and we'll try to figure this out. Thank you so much for your cooperation.

Moved in 17 August, apartment was filthy, kitchen sink was apart. Spent 3 hours cleaning before moving in. Now 2 weeks later bathroom ceiling dripping from above, and office just said to put buckets under drip. There is no emergency maintenance on call on holidays at this apartment complex.

Ac has been broken for 3 months and we were told that it’s “not a priority” to them. The window ac unit they have in our apartment is barely keeping the temperature below 80 and is leaking in a large area and soaking the living room carpet and they refuse to come fix it even though we live on the third floor and there is a chance of it affecting the downstairs units. Office and maintenance workers were rude when questioned about why it wasn’t fixed as well.

Management refuses to take appropriate action when a lease is breached if they feel threatened and/or sympathetic towards the violating leasee. Absolutely embarrassing.

I recommend living there, it’s very affordable and you get to meet so many different personalities.

I visited these apartments as a guest one evening, and I enjoyed my time greatly. The apartment was clean and reasonably-sized, and I was able to find a "guest" parking spot with relative ease. My only issue was with how recklessly some of the residents tend to drive in the parking lots, which is not really something management can help. There is a reason college students are stereotyped as being dangerous drivers, and my trip to Cayce Cove did nothing to dispel it!

My son has been living here for 2 years and he is enjoying the experience. The staff is very helpful. There was an issue with our rental agreement and the young man on staff at the time, Gunnar, was most helpful. He contacted management and then wrote me a long email explaining how we would resolve the issue.

Business response:

Thank you for your kind review, Clara! We are glad that your son has been staying with us for the past 2 years and that Gunnar was able to assist you effectively with your Lease Agreement! We truly appreciate you choosing us for your son's off campus student housing needs, and welcome you to contact us if there is anything we can do to make your experience even better. Thank you!
