I left deeply disturbed by my experience with Dr. Vance. Her manner struck me as dismissive and overly certain, and I felt there was far too little respect for a parent's right to ask serious questions. My son is 10 weeks old, we’ve been coming here for his appointments since his first doctors appointment after birth. In the beginning we were told he would need to receive his vaccinations otherwise they wouldn’t have him come to the practice anymore. I had no problem with him receiving his vaccines, but I did let them know that I wouldn’t be getting all the vaccines now. As his mother I am his full time care taker. I am so disappointed to give this clinic 1 star because the care used to be wonderful. However, since they merged systems with UCSF, everything has gone downhill. It is nearly impossible to get someone to answer the phone, and booking an appointment has become a nightmare. The most frustrating part is that we can no longer see our children’s primary doctor. Every visit means seeing someone new and having to explain their entire health history all over again. The personal touch and medical continuity are completely gone.
