RecommendedEveryone should visit Cass and ride on the Train....the town is filled with nostalgia, wonderful friendly folks, the Company Store is just one of the experiences to allow you to 'step back in time'......take time to walk around and see the sights, including the Company Houses....my father was born in one in 1922 when my grandfather worked at the saw mill... you won't be disappointed!! 😁
My 5 year old daughter went on the elf limited and had the most amazing time ever! I’m sure I’ll hear about it for the next year! It was so well put together and they made it so magical for the kids. The excitement they all had was just wonderful!
I was the only one of 5 kids who'd never gotten to ride. Finally corrected that at 32 years old. Hope to make it back some day! ☺
great friendly people, down home courtesy. wonderful scenery. if there were more jobs around it would be a perfect place to live. but do go for the day a weekend or vacation or just a train ride you will not regret a moment.

What a fantastic day! we did the Bald Knob with our 7 year old and he had a great time. EVERYBODY was so nice...from the depot staff to the workers who gave us a shop tour. The conductors and brakemen in the train were very helpful and super knowledgeable! Conductor Josh did a fantastic job narrating throughout the whole trip. We will be back!
Love going to Cass! The company houses are very nice and are next door to the train station! If you are looking for an enjoyable vacation or weekend trip, you must give Cass a try! You will not be disappointed!
Me and my family rode the Cass Scenic railroad train on July 7, 2018 from Cass to Bald Knob. It was pulled by Shays #2 and #4. It was a great experience for us all. We stayed the previous night in one of the former company houses at 121 Front Street. It was a beautiful two story house. It was air conditioned and so our stay was very comfortable.
