Best train ride ever!! I rode it back in 2002 when I was 8 and went for the second time in August 2015. Although I couldn't get a cab ride because they were busy that Sunday, I was at least thankful to get a cab tour of Shay #6 the night before. I've also been in the cab of Shay #11 back in 2002. We loved going up to the top of Bald Knob! The scenery is beautiful!
The best train ride ever. It was a beautiful clear day and when we got to top it was breathtaking! !!
This is well worth the trip. Beautiful scenery and family oriented.
If you always wanted to ride the rails and you love beautiful scenery, this is the place to visit! I would definitely do it again. The four hour trip flew by.
